In the year of 2004, one pastor named Romeo Provido senior pastor of Sumulong Baptist church International Ministries located in the upper of Antipolo City, started praying the mountainous area in sitio Eldorado Brgy. San Jose Antipolo, City. And this prayers answered by Mr. Eduardo Negapatan by allowing to use his place, we started a series of events (Bible study, medical mission, film showing, gift giving, tutorial etc.) that brought forth Sumulong Baptist Church Eldorado from its obscure beginnings.
Pastor Enrico Dicimulacion (SBCIM outreach pastor) started the first worship service last May 21, 2006 at 4:00 PM, surprisingly we had an attendance of 200 including children. The following Sunday’s the people continues their service to the Lord and we had a regular attendance of 40-60. On February 2007, our worship service transferred from 4 PM to 9 AM. The church had a varieties of program like Feeding, Tutorial and karate lesson. Also we had an outreach program every Saturdays through the help of Sis Flor Encinas and other volunteers.
This year 2008 SBCEldorado continues in growing, We baptized 21 individuals last April 6, 2008 in Robinson Homes Clubhouse. Last May 18, 2008 we celebrated our 2nd Year Anniversary with the Theme of “WIN THE PRIZE” The Lord blessed us with 280 attendances including pastors and deacons. We had now a regular attendance of 70 – 90. The church became known for its significant ministry to children, its music program, and later, its ministry to young people and also livelihood for selected families. The Lord also blessed us for 1 bible student ( Daniel Marquez ). Most importantly, God blessed us with a congregation that knows how to praise their Maker in all things. We acknowledge Him in all our ways and invite you to join us in this celebration of blessings and receive bountifully from the Lord.
The goal of this karate lesson is basically to help the youth find Christ in athmosphere that teaches them the benefits of hard-work and self discipline
